The Vice Chancellor of the Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Prof. Patrick Egbule, has been fired by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma.
In a statement sent to media on Wednesday in Owerri by the Secretary to the State Government, SGI, Cosmas Iwu, Uzodimma removed Egbule of his duties.
Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze took up Egbule’s position as acting vice chancellor of the university.
The Imo State Executive Governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma, has authorized Prof. Patrick Egbule’s immediate removal as Acting Vice Chancellor of the Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, the government claims.
His Excellency has therefore authorized the immediate appointment of Prof. Christopher Chiedozie Eze as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, in accordance with the law establishing the university.
While wishing the outgoing acting vice chancellor luck in his future endeavors, His Excellency charges Prof. Chiedozie Eze, the acting vice chancellor, to apply himself to the highest standards in the management of the young institution.
