Catholic women in the Catholic Diocese of Nsukka have endorsed Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State’s bid to represent Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly in 2023 on the Peoples Democratic Party platform. CWO is an organization made up of over 500 mothers in each of the 215 parishes of the diocese (PDP).

They claimed that Governor Ugwuanyi had performed admirably during his tenure in office and noted the rarity of his good deeds in Enugu State, particularly in the Nsukka zone.

He will accept Umaro Sissolo Embalo, the president of Guinea-Bissauinvitation ,’s to attend the special celebration, which will be held at the Presidential Villa and include the opening of a road named after him, Avenue President Muhammadu Buhari, in the nation’s capital.

The one-day event will showcase President Buhari’s leadership in the West Coast region, notably in Guinea Bissau, where he routinely counsels and inspires leaders on the values of peace, political inclusivity, integrity, and fostering a robust economy that fosters shared prosperity.

President Buhari and the Nigerian team will take part in a bilateral meeting while in Bissau.

Amb. Zubairu Dada, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Maj. Gen. Mohammed B. Monguno (Ret. ), and Amb. Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, will travel with the President.

They said that Governor Ugwuanyi’s administration had a beneficial effect on the residents of Enugu North Senatorial District, popularly known as Nsukka Senatorial Zone, and that Nsukka zone had never before seen the kinds of developments it does now thanks to the current administration.

The women made it clear that the visit was primarily made to thank the governor for his great accomplishments in the Nsukka zone, which they said he had transformed.

When she led representatives of the CWO, Nsukka Diocese to pay Governor Ugwuanyi a solidarity visit at the Government House, Enugu, on Tuesday, the president of the organization, Dr. Mrs. Stella Ekwueme, expressed the women’s admiration for the many development projects his administration has undertaken in the Nsukka zone and their confidence that, if elected as a se, he will bring more projects to the zone and provide quality representation for the people.

In a statement that read, “All the projects you have done and are still doing, we are seeing them; Nsukka has seen the light under your administration; Nsukka is very happy and we are now proud to say that we are from Nsukka,” Dr. Ekwueme assured Governor Ugwuanyi of the resounding support and votes of the catholic women during the elections in 2023.

“Our son’s success in Enugu State is the biggest thing that makes us happy. Because of your excellent leadership and focus on the needs of the people, the age of repression against a Nsukka man in Enugu State is over. Thus, we express our gratitude to you and to God.

She praised Governor Ugwuanyi’s empowerment initiatives and rural development initiatives equally, pointing out that Nsukka residents received a fair share of them.

In a similar vein, other speakers at the event, including Dr. Mrs. Uche Ekwueme (CWO Vice President), Mrs. Obioma Ogbodo (Secretary), Mrs. Fidelia Mamah (Member), and Mrs. Evelyn Ogbonna (Member), assured Governor Ugwuanyi of their unanimity support for his bid to represent Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly in 2023 as well as that of other P

The T-junction flyover bridge in Enugu, for example, which the women praised for easing traffic in the area, was one of the governor’s other notable projects outside of the Nsukka zone.

In order to ensure that the governor and other PDP candidates in the state record landslide victories at the polls, they reminded Governor Ugwuanyi of their resolve to play crucial roles as the neck of the family.
