CROATIA ADVANCES TO THE SEMIFINALS AFTER DEFEATING BRAZIL ON PENALTIES.

As Croatia defeated Brazil on Friday at the Education City Stadium in the quarterfinal, Dominic Livakovic once more emerged as the team’s hero.

Livakovic’s energetic effort behind the bar helped Croatia hold off Brazil for the majority of the match before Neymar scored in the extra period to advance the South American team to the semifinals.

Four minutes before the end of the game, Bruno Petkovic equalized for the European team.

Livakovic stopped Rodrygo from the opening penalty in the shootout. Croatia prevailed 4-2 in the tiebreaker as Marquinhos missed the post with the final penalty.
