ACCORDING TO PDP CHAIR AYU, 2023 REPRESENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO END OUR COLLECTIVE MISERY.

Dr Iyorchia Ayu, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has urged Nigerians to maintain hope, stating that the darkest hour often precedes daybreak.

This was stated by Ayu in his Christmas Message to Nigerians, which was made public on Sunday in Abuja.

The PDP Chairman thanked Nigerians for their patience and endurance during the worst seven to eight years of our country’s history.

He also advised Nigerians to rejoice since, according to him, this is our final Christmas under the APC.

Ayu took the occasion to assess President Muhammadu Buhari’s nearly eight-year reign and delivered a harsh verdict: Nigeria has never haditsobad.

Ayu was described in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, Simon Imobo-Tswam, as asking Nigerians to vote out the inept APC in next year’s general elections.

The PDP national chairman said in a statement headlined “The Light at the End of the Dark Tunnel” that 2023 gives citizens with a wonderful opportunity to change the course of their history with their voting cards.

“Nigeria deserves better than the embarrassment, ineptitude, and mediocrity on display since 2015,” the statement said. We’ve never had it so awful before.

“However, this is our final Christmas under APC’s control. It’s been nearly eight years of pain, regrets, and bemoaning. We don’t need anyone to remind us of the unimaginable suffering caused by their failed promises.

“The 2023 general elections provide us the opportunity to take our future into our hands, to say enough is enough. And we can demonstrate that with our votes.”

“We may change the direction of our history by voting in those who are competent, visionary and service-ready. They will confront insecurity, educational issues, economic stagnation, and youth restlessness head on,” Ayu vowed.

The former Senate President emphasized the importance of people voting correctly and sensibly next February, saying Nigerians brought the situation upon themselves with their voters’ cards and can only repair it with their voters’ cards.

“Just get your voter registration cards ready. We shall reclaim our country from the APC’s misrule with it. And with it, we will enthrone tried-and-true, people-friendly leaders,” he concluded.
