Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, has labeled those who criticize President Buhari over the state of the economy as ignorant.
Speaking at the ongoing 18th edition of the PMB scorecard series on January 12, Mohammad insisted that the government had done well in the previous eight years.
“Critics of the Administration will argue that, while it has done well in infrastructure, it has not done well in the economy. With all due respect, such statements are based on ignorance.
This is because infrastructure is a key driver of economic development, which means that by constructing modern infrastructure, as this Administration is doing, you are actually laying the groundwork for economic and social development.
When you build roads and bridges, you create jobs by hiring workers, you stimulate economic activity by purchasing sand, granite, and cement, and you create a mini-economy around the construction site.
