Silifat Abdullahi Sule, the First Lady of Nasarawa State, has expressed her support for Senator Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, to win the February 25th Presidential Election.
She also urged residents to vote for Governor Abdullahi Sule and all other APC candidates in the general election.
The governor’s wife made the call over the weekend in Akwanga at the Nasarawa North APC women’s campaign rally for the election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s next president and the re-election of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
She urged women who have yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so in order to exercise their voting rights during the general election.
“It is only with the PVCs that you will vote Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule and other APC candidates in the general election.
“By voting Tinubu, my husband, and other APC candidates, you and others will be able to enjoy the much-needed dividends of democracy,” he says, adding that the “APC government at both the national and state levels has performed well and continues to do well in positively impacting our people’s lives.”
Sule went on to say that “with Tinubu as President of Nigeria and Abdullahi Sule as Governor, women and other citizens would be more empowered.”
Mrs Mary Enwongulu, former Commissioner for Women Affairs, and Mrs Blessing Ebuga, State APC Woman Leader, among others, urged women to vote for Tinubu and Sule in the general elections.
They claimed that the APC-led federal government and the state government led by Governor Sule have empowered and continue to empower women and other people, emphasizing the importance of Nigerians voting for them during the elections.
