Peter Obi would have an advantage over the APC and PDP presidential candidates in the Saturday poll, according to Mr. Jinadu Garvey Yawe, the Labour Party’s North East Zonal Director for Contact Mobilization and Grassroots Engagement.
According to Jinadu, Nigerians have the choice to either vote to perpetuate the difficult times they are currently experiencing or for a new Nigeria that ensures a better life for all that Peter Obi represents.
The director revealed this on Wednesday at a Labour Party presidential campaign council meeting in Jalingo, and expressed that, despite speculations from various sources, the Northeast will give Peter Obi an overwhelming majority of votes given his background and demonstrated dedication to the region.
He emphasized that the Labour Party’s presidential candidate has had a greater impact on the North East region than on other political parties, and that it was prepared to reward him with block votes to assure his election victory.
“Our investigation has revealed that Mr. Obi’s prior record of humanitarian work in Nigeria’s North Eastern Zone is superior to that of other nation residents. We are certain, based on past performance, that Obi/Datti will continue to be the best team to make the necessary choices and take the necessary steps to resolve the current crisis.
“The security situation in our Zone is the worst in the nation. Every Nigerian lives in constant terror of agitation, militants, and bandits.
He declared, “We need a visionary leader, a man who will be fair and firm, a man who understands the workings of the global economy, a man who understands the principles of saving, and a man who believes in production.
Jinadu asked party members to act with the utmost decorum and decency and to avoid any provocations that would cause the process to be disrupted.
