Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima have received congratulations from the Road Transport Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) for winning the election.

The association also applauded President Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the orderly conduct of the recently concluded 2023 Presidential and National Assembly Elections, praising the voting process as good and well-organized and pointing out that the use of technology had made the elections different from previous ones.

This information was provided to newsmen in Abuja in a statement that was signed by the deputy national president of administration, Ambassador Muhammed Abubakar Bishara.

During the presidential and National Assembly (NASS) elections in the nation, he claimed that Dr. Musa Muhammad Maitakobi praised the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and other security services for their dedication to ensuring a peaceful electioneering process and for acting neutrally.

He claimed that information coming from various regions of the nation showed that the Nigerian military had kept its word, was not only apolitical but also worked with other security services.

Tinubu has been elected president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, and the national president of RTEAN extends congratulations on behalf of the national executive, zonal coordinators, and state coordinators (APC).

He expressed hope that Tinubu’s election as Nigeria’s next president would bring about progress and development in the nation, as he had done in Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, where he had shown a consistent fidelity to progressive and welfarist ideals and the capacity to forge connections across a variety of divides.

Also, he congratulated Senator Kashim Shettima on being named the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s vice president-elect.

The head of RTEAN calls on candidates in the various parties who ran in the recently concluded presidential and National Assembly (NASS) elections to accept the results of the election in good faith. He also emphasized the need for both candidates and their supporters to maintain an open mind and be prepared to accept whatever the results of the presidential and National Assembly elections may be.
