In Owo, Ondo State, generator fumes killed a 29-year-old nursing mother and her five-month-old child. She has been known only as Tawa.
It was learned that Tawa’s husband was also hospitalized as a result of the unfortunate incident that happened on Friday, March 10.
According to reports, the deceased, a Federal Medical Center (FMC) employee, and her husband bought the generator on Monday, barely three days before the terrible tragedy.
According to TheNation, the couple bought the generator on Monday and left it running as they went to bed on Thursday. The family was reportedly discovered when their flat was broken into after they failed to show up for work on Friday, according to witnesses.
The pair was reportedly reported missing by Tawa’s older sister, who was unable to locate them at their places of employment.
According to reports, a few coworkers visited the family’s home with the older sister and broke into the apartments where they found the family.
