Hon. Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi, a representative for the Bauchi federal constituency in the House of Representatives, has been listed as wanted by the Nigerian Police Force on suspicion of inciting, disturbing the peace, and culpable homicide.
The Office of the Inspector General of Police published a Special Police Gazette Bulletin on Monday that included Hon. Shehu’s picture and stated that the lawmaker was wanted in connection with a case of criminal conspiracy, causing great harm, inciting disturbance of the peace, and culpable homicide.
The above-mentioned person has been listed as wanted by the Nigerian Police on CRO Form 5, which was issued by the Inspector General of Police, according to the police. He is sought after in relation to a criminal conspiracy case, incitement, grievous bodily harm, disturbance of the peace, and culpable homicide.
“Anybody with information that could aid in his arrest should kindly contact; 08151849417 or report at the closest Police Station,” the police notice stated.
According to our correspondent, the lawmaker was accused of taking part in the recent violent altercation in Duguri town, the hometown of the governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, that left one person dead and numerous others injured. The incident occurred when the campaign train of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of the State visited the area.
