A week after waking up at her own funeral, a woman died.
On June 9, Bella Montoya, 76, was confirmed dead by a doctor at an Ecuadorian hospital.
However, when mourners at her wake heard her knock on her coffin, she was transported back to the same hospital for treatment.
Ecuador’s health ministry reported her death on Friday from an ischemic stroke after seven days in intensive care.
According to the ministry’s statement, she was under “permanent surveillance” while in the hospital.
