BEGINNING IN AUGUST, NPFL 2023/24

The Interim Management Committee of the Nigeria Professional Football League has declared that the 2023–24 regular season will start on the weekend of August 26–27.

Early this month, the condensed 2022–23 season came to a finish with Enyimba earning their ninth league championship at the Super 6 playoffs in Lagos.
The IMC also declared that teams should start the club licensing process after the successful conclusion of the condensed season, which was required to fill the gap in the Nigerian league calendar.

In related news, the NPFL transfer window will open on July 1 and expire on September 1, 2023, both on Saturday (today).
