8 NEW COMMAND CPS ARE APPOINTED WITH PSC APPROVAL.

Eight new commissioners of police have been appointed and assigned to state commands across the nation with the approval of the Police Service Commission.

The Commission also praised Kayode Egbetokun, the acting inspector general of police, for following its most recent policy on gender sensitivity in his suggestion.

However, the Commission anticipates that the Inspector General would include additional North East and South East geographical zone officers in his upcoming proposals since they have not yet reached the benchmark of 15% as established at its most recent Plenary Meeting.

Godwin Aghaulor, who is now in charge of the Borno State Command, Adelesi E. Oluwarotimi, the Kwara State Command, Adebola Ayinde Hamzat, the Oyo State Command, Augustina Ogbodo, the Ebonyi State Command, and Samuel Titus Musa, the Kebbi State Command, are the newly appointed State Commissioners of Police.

Others include Alamatu Abiodun Mustapha of the CP Ogun State Command, Stephen Olarewaju of the CP Imo State Command, and Aderemi Olufemi Adeoye of the CP Anambra State Command.

Dr. Solomon Arase (IGP Retired), the chair of the commission, praised the acting inspector general of police for include women in the postings and deemed them to be generally fair.

Dr. Arase instructed the interim IGP to take the underserved geopolitical zones into account while submitting new proposals for the Commission’s approval.
