NARD, the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors , has announced an ongoing strike. The strike will start on Tuesday, July 25, at 12 a.m., according to a statement from the association’s president, Dr. Orji Emeka Innocent.
He said that the strike was announced during the association’s National Executive Council meeting in Lagos.
The association is requesting that the 2023 Medical Residency Training Fund (MRTF), the one-for-one replacement circular, the payment of skipping arrears, and an upward evaluation of CONMESS in accordance with the complete salary restoration to the 2014 value of CONMESS be made immediately.
Recall that on July 5, the group gave the Federal Government a two-week deadline to comply with all of its demands.
