President Bola Tinubu has appointed Osun State former Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, as Minister of Transportation, his Rivers State counterpart, Nyesom Wike, as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, and Festus Keyamo, to oversee the Ministry of Aviation, barely a week after the Senate cleared 45 ministerial nominees and withheld three others.
In addition, Hannatu Musawa was appointed by the president to lead the Ministry of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy.
Muhammad Badaru is the Minister of Defence, while Bello Matawalle, the former governor of Zamfara State, is the Minister of State for Defense and Education.
Ahmed Dangiwa, Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Gwarzo, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, and Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning.
The list was released on Wednesday in Aso Rock, Abuja, by the President’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale.
Meanwhile, in the Presidency’s list, the seat of Minister of Environment and Ecological Management was left blank with the exception of Kaduna State being placed in the box designated for names.
The ministry was assigned to Nasru El-Rufai, former Governor of Kaduna State, who was one of three nominees whose nominations were deferred by lawmakers due to security concerns.
