Daniel Noboa, 35, a descendant of the banana dynasty, has been chosen to lead Ecuador as its youngest leader ever.
On Sunday, October 15, he received 52.3% of the total votes cast, making him the election’s victor.
Socialite Luisa González, who received 47.7% of the vote, has since congratulated the president-elect and accepted defeat. Rafael Correa, the former president, personally selected her.
The 35-year-old member of the National Democratic Action party is the son of five-time presidential hopeful lvaro Noboa.

“We are aiming for a country of realities, where promises are broken and corruption is pnished,” Noboa said in a statement published on X.
