SECRETARY OF DELTA CDHR, OSSAI, HAS DIED

Comrade Ogaga Darlington Ossai, the secretary of Delta State’s Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR), has reportedly passed away.
Ossai battled an undisclosed ailment till his death.

In a brief statement made available to newsmen on Friday morning, the CDHR Chairman, Comrade A. P. Edariese, confirmed the tragic occurrence and expressed his deep grief for Ossai’s premature death.

“To put it mildly, we at the State Branch are deeply saddened by this loss, as is the entire CDHR Nigeria family as well as his cherished family that he has now departed from.

“May God give the people of CDHR, his family, and Nigeria as a whole the strength to endure this unforgiveable loss. In the name of Jesus Christ, we ask that everyone pray for God to give his kind spirit peace in his bosom, Edariese said, as reported by the Daily Post.

The judge of an appeals court who gave Tinubu, Peter Obi, and Atiku access to election materials has passed away.
Joseph Shagbaor Ikyegh, a judge on the Appeal Court, has reportedly passed away.

Ikyegh, a native of Benue State, departed this life at the age of 65, Naija News has learned.
Ikyegh’s death was confirmed by Josephine J. Ekperobe, registrar of the Court of Appeal, according to the WHISTLER.

Ekperobe said, “A very tragic loss. May serenity be granted to his cherished soul. Amen.

Recall that Ikyegh chaired the committee that directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to allow President Bola Tinubu’s, PDP’s Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party’s Peter Obi’s legal teams to view materials utilized in the February 25, 2023, presidential election.

In 1980, Ikyegh received his degree from the Nigerian Law School in Lagos.

On March 27, 1991, he was appointed to the Benue State High Court as a judge. On July 16, 2010, he was promoted to the Court of Appeal.

Ikyegh was on the five-person panel that heard Atiku Abubakar and President Muhammadu Buhari’s appeal for the presidency in 2019.
