Habeeb “Portable” Okikiola, a controversial singer, has emerged victorious from his celebrity boxing bout against Charles Okocha, a Nollywood actor.

The game took place on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Lagos State’s Landmark Beach, amid enthusiastic spectators. Okocha was dressed in red gear, while Portable, who stood in for the blue corner, was dressed in blue boxing gear.

In the footage making the rounds on social media, Okocha could be seen attempting in vain to avoid Portable’s punches and jabs as Portable kept swinging and hitting him. But Okocha managed to knock Portable off balance and land him on his back. However, Portable sprang back fast and kept launching Punches. In order to maintain a fair game, the referee was occasionally seen separating the two.

The Zazu singer stopped his opponent after four strong rounds of trading punches and jabs, which took nearly forty minutes. In a different video, the audience could be heard shouting Portable’s catchphrase, “Wahala, Wahala, Wahala,” in expectation that he would be named the winner.

The host entered the ring and declared Portable the winner after some consideration.

The crowd applauded the performer, who was then on his knees in thanks, as the lights flickered after the announcement was made. Okocha grinned and shook hands firmly with Portable in a display of good sportsmanship. As the crowd applauded, Portable proudly displayed his recently acquired title belt as he walked around the ring.

To resolve the score between the two guys who had been arguing on social media, a boxing match was set up. The singer had claimed at the time that the actor had conned him out of a ₦40 million contract to appear at an event. Okocha, however, confirmed that no contracts were made attesting to the reality and stated that Portable’s performance fell short of what was expected. Afterwards, he gave the singer ₦5 million. But Portable was not happy, and in the end they decided that the best way to settle the dispute would be through a boxing contest.
