Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba, National Chairman of the Initiative for Better & Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), has expressed sorrow over the horrific terror assaults that occurred in several communities in the Barkin Ladi and Bokkos Local Government Areas of Plateau State, resulting in the deaths of at least 160 persons.
The Initiative for Better & Brighter Nigeria (IBBN) National Director, Media and Publicity, Amb. Yemi Matthew, made the following statement on behalf of Isa El-Buba: “While the world was celebrating Christmas, forces of darkness planned and carried out the coordinated massacre of defenseless citizens in cold blood.”
“For how long will the lives of innocent citizens be freely butchered to grab and annexe ancestral homelands of communities and meet demands of satanic altars?” Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba further bemoaned in agony.
This difficult subject affects the freedoms of millions of morally upright Nigerians as well as the global community. Every day, the blood of terror victims and satanic altar victims begs God for justice! God’s justice is unfailing,” he continued.
Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba, speaking about the recent killings, declared that he would not stop demanding that terrorists and bandits be dealt with decisively until the Nigerian State recognizes that protecting its citizens’ lives and property is its primary constitutional duty.
In order to combat this shared enemy, he urged the federal and state governments to collaborate with all security services.
The well-known cleric expressed optimism, stating that peace—which has remained elusive in Plateau State’s vulnerable communities—is achievable if security is given more attention than lip service. The people are sick of hearing the platitude, “Government or Security Agencies are on top of the situation,” when innocent Nigerians’ lives and property are being destroyed on a daily basis.
The protection of citizens and their property is one of the benefits of good governance, according to Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba, who was on the verge of tears when he said as much. He prioritized this issue both before and after the general elections in 2023 so that the public would not lose faith in the government.
“For how long will communities who are peaceful and accommodating continue to live in sorrow, pain, fear, and anguish?” he asked, urging towns to plan strategies for self-defense.
He emphasized how important it is that the federal government formally approve the complete implementation of community policing.
He reaffirmed the initiative’s (IBBN) commitment to advancing development, justice, good governance, and peaceful coexistence in Nigeria.
