On Friday, February 23, 2023, Rotimi Akeredolu, the former governor of Ondo State, was laid to rest at his hometown of Owo, Ondo State.
Following a funeral, Akeredolu was buried in the St. Andrews Anglican Diocese Church in Imola Owo.
Numerous dignitaries attended the funeral, including senators, Southwest governors, Vice President of Nigeria Kashim Shettima, and a few more.
Recall that on December 27, 2023, Akeredolu passed away in a German hospital at the age of 67 from prostate cancer.
