Babatunji Wusu –
In a new attack on the Kajuru-Station community in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, terrorists have taken eighty-seven persons hostage.
The attack, which took place on Sunday night, occurred just two days after a man and fifteen women were kidnapped in the same local government’s Dogon-Noma neighborhood.
The terrorists also broke into some shops and stole food goods and other valuables, according to Kajuru-Station Youths member Harisu Dari, who confirmed the event that occurred on Monday in Kaduna.
In an interview with Punch, Dari stated that they broke into the village at around ten o’clock at night and that they have not yet made touch with the 87 residents who were kidnapped on Sunday.
He said, “As of the time I visited the community this morning, security operatives had not been drafted to help restore the villagers’ confidence.
“The villagers are traumatic with the sad development. The government needs to re-strategise in tackling these terrorists,” he said.
It is known that the terrorists abducted over 172 villagers from Kajuru and Chikun Local Government Area in Kaduna state in less than two weeks.
