On Monday, President Bola Tinubu held a meeting with Zacch Adedeji, the chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja. This meeting marked the President’s first official engagement following his two-week vacation.

Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, noted on X that this was the President’s first activity upon resuming his duties after the break: “President Bola Tinubu at his desk this morning, after the two-week vacation. His first meeting was with FIRS Chairman Zacch Adedeji.”

Additionally, Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, informed Nigerians to anticipate the results of the President’s efforts upon his return. President Tinubu arrived back in Nigeria on Saturday, having taken the time off for rest after 18 months of intensive work.

Gbajabiamila expressed confidence in the President’s readiness to continue implementing policies and driving progress for the country. “The President is back, well rejuvenated and prepared to move forward,” he stated, emphasizing the focus on ensuring that the nation progresses in the right direction.
