Former Brighton striker Glenn Murray believes it’s the perfect time for Marcus Rashford, Manchester United’s top earner, to part ways with the club. According to Murray, a move would help the England international rediscover his passion for the game and reignite his career.
Rashford has scored seven goals and provided three assists in 24 appearances this season but has seen reduced playing time under new head coach Ruben Amorim. Murray expressed concern over the heavy expectations placed on the United academy graduate, suggesting it’s unfair to his development.
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day, Murray said, “Marcus has carried the weight of Manchester United and their fans’ expectations for too long. He needs a fresh start to truly enjoy football again.”
