Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Nigeria’s Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, has voiced strong support for the ongoing economic policies of President Bola Tinubu, asserting that despite their tough nature, these reforms are crucial for Nigeria’s future economic growth. Speaking to journalists at the Governor’s residence in Birnin-Kebbi, Bagudu acknowledged the difficulties Nigerians are facing due to the current economic measures but assured that these challenges would be temporary.

As part of the reform team, Bagudu explained that the tough decisions being made are essential to revitalize the country’s economy. He praised President Tinubu for his deep understanding of Nigeria’s economic needs, emphasizing that the president’s policies are designed to unlock the nation’s diverse potentials and encourage investment across all sectors.

“The President thinks of Nigeria, thinks for Nigeria, and thinks like Nigeria,” Bagudu said, urging Nigerians to be courageous in supporting these policies. He highlighted Nigeria’s wealth in natural resources and agricultural products, from oil and cocoa to rice and groundnut oil, stressing the need to harness these resources for economic growth.
