-Katsina Governor Dismisses 2027 Vice Presidential Rumour
–Says His Sole Focus Is Serving the People of Katsina State
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has firmly debunked speculations linking him to a vice presidential ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Kaula-Mohammed, on Wednesday, the governor described the rumour as baseless and misleading.
Speaking during a gathering organized by the Dutsin-Ma Development Forum in Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area, Radda stated that he has no political ambition beyond the mandate given to him by the people of Katsina.
“I’ve seen posters and messages suggesting I’m pursuing another office. Let me be clear — I sought your mandate to serve as Governor of Katsina State, and that is my only focus,” Radda said.
He emphasized that his commitment remains to the people of the state and not to any political aspiration outside of his current responsibilities.
“I am not behind any campaign to contest elsewhere. My duty is to fulfill the trust you’ve placed on me.”
Governor Radda urged the public to disregard any campaign materials or speculations suggesting otherwise, adding that his administration will stay focused on delivering good governance, security, and development across the state.
