-Veteran forward set for free agency this summer
-Saudi club eyes fresh legs ahead of next season

Al Qadsiah is preparing to terminate the contract of veteran striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, paving the way for the 36-year-old to become a free agent this summer.

The Saudi Pro League club is reportedly seeking a younger forward to bolster its squad ahead of the new season. This development was confirmed by renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday.

Romano, in a post on X, wrote:
“Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, set to be available as free agent this summer.
Understand Al Qadsiah and Auba are prepared to part ways on mutual consent as the Saudi Pro League side want to bring in a younger striker.
Aubameyang, opportunity available with many clubs on alert.”

The decision marks another turning point in the career of Aubameyang, who has played for top European clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund.

Though the former Gabon international moved to Saudi Arabia in pursuit of a fresh challenge, sources suggest he may be considering a return to Europe, with several clubs reportedly monitoring his availability.

If the contract is officially terminated, Aubameyang will be free to negotiate with any club as a free agent.
