Controversial Nigerian singer and rapper, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, has cautioned singles to be deliberate about their choice of partners, warning that marriage without peace is like living in prison.
In a post on his X handle, the Marlian boss wrote: “Be careful who you date and marry, the toughest prison is a home without peace.”
Though often in the spotlight for his music and controversies, Naira Marley has largely shielded his private life from the media. He is a father to twin daughters, Aishat and Simiat, but the identity of their mother remains undisclosed.
The singer’s personal life once drew speculation when Instagram model and TikToker Sandra Benede claimed in April that she was the mother of his twins, only to later deny the statement. In 2022, the pair had fueled relationship rumours after a viral video showed them in bed together on his birthday. Their closeness, however, fizzled out as they stopped appearing together publicly or posting about each other.
Naira Marley’s latest statement has sparked reactions among fans, with many describing it as a rare glimpse of wisdom from the Marlian president.
