Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Mr Eazi, has revealed that the proceeds from his music career alone could not have covered the cost of his wedding to actress Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.

The ‘Leg Over’ hitmaker made the disclosure while responding to an X user who suggested he was trying to recoup his wedding expenses through his newly released single, Cassanova.

Reacting sharply, Mr Eazi wrote, “U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”

Another user, however, argued that his earnings from 2018 were enough to bankroll the ceremony. The singer admitted he had enjoyed a successful run of hit songs in 2017–2018 but stressed that it was the most financially difficult period of his career in the last decade.

“You got a point tho, but 2017-18 is the brokest I’ve been in the last 9 years! But all the music I put out then enter like mad sha im really thankful,” he explained.

Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola tied the knot recently in a private ceremony in Iceland. The couple got engaged in April 2022 in London, with the singer earlier disclosing that he met Temi through her elder sister, DJ Cuppy, who was his close friend at the time.
