Charly Boy Launches Public Search for Wife for 46-Year-Old Son

Veteran singer and activist Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has taken his matchmaking quest public, announcing he is in search of a wife for his 46-year-old son.

In a post shared Friday on X (formerly Twitter), the entertainer revealed that his son, a master’s degree holder who stands 5ft 11ins tall, had been previously married but divorced. According to him, the experience left his son seemingly afraid of women.

Charly Boy stressed that he is not looking for just anyone but a woman from a “good home with humble beginnings.” He further emphasized that only authentic graduates need apply.

“My people, I still dey look for wife for dis my son. E don marry once, divorce. Now e be like say e dey fear woman,” he wrote in Pidgin English. “If you’re from a good home with humble beginnings, DM me. He is coming next month.”

The outspoken entertainer added that his son, whom he described as “very humble,” will be returning to Nigeria soon, and he hopes to “tie him to Nigeria” through marriage.
