Ikorodu City’s technical adviser, Bright Ozebagbe, has blamed poor finishing for his side’s inability to secure maximum points in their 1-1 draw with Enyimba at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
The Oga Boys gifted the visitors the lead in the 12th minute when Joel Ezra turned the ball into his own net, but Joseph Arumala restored parity just five minutes later. Despite carving out several clear chances, Ikorodu City failed to capitalize, leaving the coach visibly frustrated.
“Dropping points at home is never a good thing. We needed more composure in the final third, but anxiety crept in and cost us the win,” Ozebagbe told the club’s media after the game.
The Lagos club remain ninth on the Nigeria Premier Football League table and will travel to Yenagoa this weekend to face Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium.
