The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has reiterated its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply, competitive pricing, and high-quality petroleum products nationwide.

Group Chief Executive Officer of the NNPC, Bayo Ojulari, restated this resolve on Tuesday at the 2025 Inaugural Annual Downstream Petroleum Week, organized by the House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream).

Ojulari emphasized that strategic partnerships remain central to unlocking value, driving sustainability, and enhancing commercialization in Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector. He described the sector as being “shaped by transition, opportunity, and strategic reform,” noting that collaboration among industry players is vital for a sustainable energy future.

“With Africa’s energy demand projected to surge, Nigeria must position itself at the forefront through coordinated efforts and collective responsibility,” Ojulari declared. “The opportunity to create a sustainable economy lies in supply partnerships, infrastructure co-investments, security alliances, host community cooperation, and operational collaboration. Everyone must play a role in building a promising energy future for Nigeria,” he added.

In a statement issued by Andy Odeh, NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Ojulari commended the National Assembly and the House Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream) for convening the inaugural event themed “Celebrating Our Successes, Confronting Our Challenges, and Finding Solutions for the Petroleum Downstream Sector.”

The conference brought together key industry players, legislators, and stakeholders to deliberate on policy reforms and growth strategies for the petroleum downstream industry.
