Wike to Brief Nigerians Friday After 20-Day Abuja Project Marathon

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, will address Nigerians in a live monthly media chat on Friday, October 24, following 20 straight days of project commissioning and flag-offs across Abuja.

Wike’s spokesperson, Lere Olayinka, confirmed the engagement in a statement on Tuesday, noting that the minister will field questions from journalists between 10 a.m. and 12 noon on major national television stations.

The infrastructural rollout — which commenced on September 18 — ended today with the commissioning of newly completed engineering infrastructure in Wuye District, one of Abuja’s fast-developing urban locations.

Friday’s media chat is expected to give Nigerians insight into the scope, funding, and rollout plan for the FCT’s ongoing transformation push — Wike’s most aggressive development streak since taking office.
