Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State broke into songs of praise after securing a resounding victory in the just-concluded governorship election.
In a viral video, the jubilant governor, visibly overwhelmed with joy, sang, “This kind God, I never see his type,” while expressing gratitude for his re-election. In the clip, Soludo also congratulated a caller on the other end of the line, saying, “I will talk to you later, congratulations.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), winner of the poll held on Saturday. He clinched victory with 422,664 votes, defeating Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 99,445 votes, and Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who scored 37,753 votes.
Soludo’s triumph cements APGA’s dominance in Anambra politics and marks the continuation of his administration’s “Soludo Solution” agenda.
