Famous Nigerian actress Toyin Abraham has decried the escalating wave of insecurity across the country following a deadly terrorist attack in Kwara State and the abduction of schoolchildren in Kebbi.

The latest attacks unfolded just hours after 25 schoolgirls were kidnapped in Kebbi on Monday, November 17, 2025 — a development that has sparked outrage nationwide. Several celebrities have since demanded President Bola Tinubu’s resignation, accusing his administration of failing to protect Nigerians.

Abraham, adding her voice to the growing public anger, took to Instagram with a deeply emotional message. The actress lamented the trauma gripping Nigerian families, especially mothers, in the face of repeated violence.

“How do we move past the heaviness in our hearts after watching the heartbreaking video of the attack in Kwara?” she wrote. “How does any mother close her eyes at night knowing that 25 young girls have been stolen from their families…? As mothers, we carry a fear that sits deep in our bones.”

She warned that terrorism and religious extremism are tearing communities apart, eroding safety, peace, and childhood innocence.

“These fanatics are not just attacking villages; they are attacking the very idea of safety, childhood, and peace,” she added, questioning how society can protect children “when cruelty seems to move without fear or consequence.”

Abraham joins a growing number of public figures pushing for urgent government action to halt the worsening security crisis.
