Nigerian singer Zinoleesky has ignited fresh speculation of a split from his record label boss, Naira Marley, after releasing a bold statement calling out unfair treatment of artistes in the industry.
The controversy erupted on Saturday when Zinoleesky posted a strongly worded message on his Instagram story, vowing to stand up for himself and other artistes who feel exploited. His remarks spread rapidly across social media, prompting intense debate among fans and observers.
“I’m standing up not just for myself but for every artist who has ever felt powerless or taken advantage of. We deserve better. We deserve transparency, fairness, and respect,” he wrote.
His cryptic message quickly stirred reactions online, with many fans drawing parallels to the late singer Mohbad, who had repeatedly accused Naira Marley and his associates of assault and exploitation before his death two years ago.
Zinoleesky, who joined Marlian Music in December 2019, did not mention Naira Marley directly, but his comments triggered widespread assumptions of an internal fallout within the label.
As discussions intensify, fans continue to speculate about the future of Zinoleesky’s relationship with Marlian Music and the broader conversation about artiste welfare in Nigeria’s music industry.
