A governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has announced his withdrawal from the 2027 race.
Adediran made the announcement on Thursday while addressing journalists, party leaders of the Lagos4Lagos Movement, and his supporters at Liberty House, Adeniyi Jones Secretariat in Ikeja.
He said his decision followed recent political developments, including a meeting involving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat.
“Within hours after I purchased my nomination forms, there were developments, including a meeting involving the President and the Deputy Governor,” Adediran said.
He added that it later became known that the President had endorsed Hamzat.
“Based on my earlier position that I will align with the direction of the President, I have decided to withdraw from the race,” he stated.
