The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the August 15 governorship election in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, has pledged not to betray the trust of voters if elected.

He made the remarks on Sunday during a meeting with members of the Nigerian Society of Professional Tailors in Osogbo.

Oyebamiji said his recently unveiled seven-point agenda, titled “PROSPERITY,” would be fully implemented if he wins the election. He was represented at the event by Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, Chairman of Civic Engagement of the APC Campaign Council.

According to him, the policy framework is designed to address key areas including poverty reduction, workers’ welfare, job creation, transparency, economic growth, security, education, and infrastructure development.

“I want to assure you that I will not betray your trust if you give me your votes. I am contesting to serve, and I will keep my promises,” he said.

He added that the plan was developed to meet the needs of residents and support long-term development in the state.

Addressing the association, Oyebamiji described its members as contributors to the state’s economy and said his administration would support small and medium-sized enterprises.

“A major part of our agenda focuses on creating opportunities for economic growth and strengthening small businesses,” he said.

He also urged voters to disregard criticism from opponents, saying his campaign proposals would guide development if implemented.

In response, the chairman of the association, Rasheed Balogun, said the group welcomed the engagement and expressed confidence in the candidate’s plans.

He added that members of the association would support Oyebamiji in the election.
