Seun Kuti Rules Out Reconciliation with Wizkid, Says Rift Is “For Life”

Maverick Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti has ruled out any possibility of reconciling with Afrobeats star Wizkid, declaring that their rift is permanent.

The feud between the two artists dates back to a controversy in which Wizkid reportedly claimed he was greater than Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. The comment came in response to Seun Kuti’s earlier warning to fans against comparing the “Ojuelegba” singer to his late father.

Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Seun Kuti made it clear that there has been no reconciliation and none should be expected.

When asked whether both artistes had resolved their differences, he replied:
“It is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him, but it is on for life. You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that.”

The statement underscores the deep personal nature of the disagreement, particularly as it centres on comments made about the late Afrobeat icon.
