Phyna Regrets Spending BBNaija Winnings on Family Support Instead of Investment

Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, says she regrets using her prize money to support family members instead of investing it for her future.

Speaking during a livestream, the reality TV star said she was inexperienced at the time she won the show in 2022 and failed to make informed financial decisions after receiving the prize.

Phyna said she prioritised settling family debts and providing financial support, believing she was helping her loved ones build stability.

“I should have invested,” she says

She explained that she received little or no financial guidance from older family members and instead faced repeated requests for money.

According to her, she spent heavily on family obligations, including community support projects, but later struggled when she began to decline further financial demands.

Phyna said tensions within the family increased when she was unable to meet expectations, adding that she now bears the consequences of her decisions alone.
