The ADC presidential primary results have revealed a major upset in Bayelsa State, where former Rivers governor Rotimi Amaechi defeated former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar by a wide margin.

Amaechi secured 44,404 votes in Bayelsa, while Atiku polled 6,570 votes. Former banker Mohammed Hayatudeen recorded 939 votes.

However, the contest produced a different outcome in Imo State. There, Atiku dominated the poll with 52,200 votes. Amaechi scored 7,659 votes, while Hayatudeen secured 1,121 votes.

The ADC presidential primary results from several other states were still being compiled at the time this report was filed. Party officials have continued the collation process as delegates await the final outcome of the nationwide exercise.

Meanwhile, Amaechi warned that he would reject the process if the election failed to meet standards of fairness and transparency. The former Minister of Transportation insisted that the exercise must remain free and fair for all contestants.

Political observers say the early voting pattern highlights deep regional divisions among delegates. While Amaechi gained strong support in Bayelsa, Atiku maintained dominance in Imo, setting up a tense wait for the remaining state results.

As more figures emerge, attention remains fixed on the ADC presidential primary results and how they could shape the party’s chances ahead of the next general election.
