Emerging Canadian talent Victoria Mboko, who is tipped to be her new doubles partner, insists it is entirely up to the legendary athlete to confirm the news. The 44-year-old superstar has not played a professional match since her third-round exit at the 2022 US Open.

Other than that, I don’t really have much to say. I think the moment is all up to her, and when she’s ready to come back. Yeah, it’s up to her.”
