Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership meeting between Joseph Tegbe and Ambassador Yu Dunhai

|By Chinwendu Nwani- The Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership received a fresh boost on Thursday as Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Yu Dunhai, met with Minister of Power and Director-General of the Nigeria-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Joseph Tegbe.

During the meeting, both officials discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in key sectors, including electricity, infrastructure, manufacturing and industrial development.

Ambassador Yu congratulated Tegbe on his appointment and praised his efforts to deepen ties between Nigeria and China. He also reaffirmed China’s commitment to implementing agreements reached during the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Furthermore, the envoy stressed the importance of expanding collaboration in energy and power infrastructure. According to him, stronger cooperation would accelerate economic growth and deliver practical benefits to citizens of both countries.

The Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership has become a major platform for advancing development projects and attracting investment into critical sectors of Nigeria’s economy.

In response, Tegbe described China as an important development partner and thanked the country for its long-standing support for Nigeria’s socio-economic development.

He also pledged to work closely with the Chinese Embassy and relevant institutions to drive projects in electricity infrastructure, manufacturing and modern agriculture.

As both nations seek deeper economic cooperation, the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership is expected to play a key role in supporting Nigeria’s modernization and industrial growth agenda.
