Mr P urges fans to stop comparing him with Rudeboy

|By Chiwendu Nwani and Awaji-Ichiem- Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, known as Mr P, has urged fans to stop comparing him with his twin brother and former P-Square partner, Rudeboy.

Speaking in a recent video, Mr P said he wants to concentrate on his solo career without distractions. He stressed that every artist is different and asked fans to respect his individuality.

“Stop comparing me with my brother or anyone else. Enough of the comparisons. I want to do me,” he said.

Meanwhile, Mr P claimed that reuniting with Rudeboy slowed the growth of his solo brand. He told Cool FM Lagos that he once gained about 100,000 Instagram followers daily before the reunion.

Mr P also said he deserves greater recognition, noting that he has remained relevant in the music industry for nearly three decades.

The singer maintained that his focus remains on building his career independently and creating his own legacy.
