By Babatunji Wusu| Businessman Olawale Ayilara has described Nigeria as a nation rich in opportunities, arguing that many people living abroad face significant financial pressures despite the perceived benefits of overseas life.

Speaking on the realities of living in foreign countries, Ayilara said many individuals spend years managing mortgages, car loans, student loans and other financial commitments. According to him, these obligations often keep people locked in a continuous cycle of repayments, making it difficult to achieve true financial freedom.

He noted that while many people take pride in owning homes and other assets abroad, such achievements are frequently linked to long-term debt arrangements that can last for decades. As a result, he believes many residents overseas remain under constant financial pressure despite appearing successful.

The businessman acknowledged that living abroad offers valuable exposure and opportunities for personal growth. However, he maintained that his travels around the world have strengthened his belief in the potential available within Nigeria.

According to Ayilara, Nigerians can learn from successful systems in other countries and apply similar ideas at home to create wealth and drive development. He stressed that the country offers immense possibilities for individuals who possess the vision, determination and willingness to take advantage of emerging opportunities.

The Nigeria land of opportunity argument, he said, is based on his personal experiences and observations from different parts of the world. Despite seeing how people live and work overseas, Ayilara insisted that no country has inspired him more than Nigeria.

Reaffirming his confidence in the nation’s future, he said Nigeria remains a place where ambitious people can thrive and build lasting success. He added that while foreign countries may provide certain advantages, the Nigeria land of opportunity remains unmatched for those prepared to identify and seize available prospects.
