Former Benue SSG David Salifu dies after suspected kidnappers’ attack after he reportedly suffered gunshot injuries during an attack by suspected kidnappers in Taraba State. The incident happened on Thursday as he travelled from Wukari to Makurdi.

Reports said the former Secretary to the Benue State Government escaped from the attackers. However, he sustained gunshot wounds during the assault.

He was taken to a hospital in Makurdi for emergency treatment. Despite medical efforts, he died later on Thursday night.
