Rabiu Kwankwaso Fires Back at Ganduje, Dares APC Over Kano 2027 Battle

Rabiu Kwankwaso fires back at Ganduje after the former APC national chairman declared that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential ticket would fail in Kano State during the 2027 general election. Kwankwaso rejected the remarks and argued that the APC lacks the strength to stop the NDC in the state.

Earlier, Abdullahi Ganduje claimed that the Peter Obi–Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket was “dead on arrival.” He also argued that the alliance lacks the political influence and leadership needed to secure victory in Kano.

However, speaking on News Central TV, Kwankwaso dismissed the criticism. He insisted Ganduje had no basis for making such claims.

“We supported him in 2015. In 2023 we defeated him and if he could not do anything when he was governor, what can he do now?” Kwankwaso said.

Furthermore, Kwankwaso argued that recent political developments in Kano show that the APC’s influence has weakened. He maintained that the opposition remains confident of winning support ahead of the next general election.

Meanwhile, Ganduje’s comments have added to the growing political exchanges between major parties as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum. Political observers expect more campaign rhetoric as parties work to strengthen their positions across key states, including Kano.
