Haven360 Foundation has held a high-level engagement with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Nigeria to discuss justice, human rights, sustainable development and humanitarian interventions.
The meeting followed an invitation from the United Nations. Representatives of both organisations discussed areas of shared interest and possible future cooperation.
The discussions also covered ongoing interventions by the foundation. These include work focused on access to justice, human rights advocacy, community development and support for vulnerable people.
The United Nations delegation was led by Mr Paul Turay. During the meeting, the delegation commended the work of Haven360 Foundation in areas including access to justice, human rights and community development.
The delegation also recognised the foundation’s support for vulnerable populations, according to the organisation.
In response, the Haven360 team expressed appreciation to the UNDP for its work towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria.
The foundation also acknowledged the UNDP’s efforts in promoting human dignity, the rule of law and sustainable development.
The Haven360 delegation was led by its President, Cyrus Mark Onu.
Other members of the delegation were Ifeanyi Ewuziem, Director of Research and Sustainability; Eric Omoefe Udusegbe, a member of the Board of Trustees; and Scholatisca, from the Directorate of Administration in Abuja.
The engagement focused on strengthening cooperation between the organisations. It also provided an opportunity to discuss areas where both sides could work together on development and social impact.
According to the foundation, the meeting formed part of its efforts to expand relationships with development partners and advance initiatives linked to justice, human rights and sustainable development.
The engagement also highlighted the role of collaboration between civil society organisations and international development partners in addressing social and humanitarian issues.
For Haven360 Foundation, the discussions centred on expanding access to justice, supporting vulnerable communities and contributing to sustainable development initiatives in Nigeria.
