……..The group, which cited government interventions in healthcare, education and infrastructure, said it would mobilise voters peacefully and reject violence, hate speech and divisive politics ahead of the elections.

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, APC leaders and supporters from Southern Kaduna have thrown their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani and other candidates of the party, promising to mobilise voters through peaceful and issue-based campaigns.

The supporters said their decision was informed by what they described as development interventions by the Tinubu and Sani administrations, particularly in healthcare, education, infrastructure and rural development.

In a statement issued on Monday and signed by Abubakar Hassan, Ismaila Tijjani, Prof. Bashir Idris, Babalele, Nasir Alluh, Abdullahi Abamu Abubakar, Danjuma Usman, Ibrahim Vichi Aliyu, Aluwasu, Ishayaka A. Ladan, Jibril Muhammad D., Musbahu Ado and others, the group declared its support for all APC candidates contesting the 2027 elections.

The group said it was committed to mobilising voters, encouraging peaceful participation and promoting campaigns centred on issues affecting the electorate.

“We hereby declare our total support for all APC candidates contesting in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. We are united in our commitment to the progress, stability and victory of the APC at all levels,” the statement said.

The supporters added, “We pledge to mobilise voters, promote peaceful participation, support issue-based campaigns and work tirelessly for the success of all duly nominated APC candidates.”

The group also reaffirmed its loyalty to President Tinubu and his administration, saying the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda had promoted cooperation between the federal, state and local governments in addressing challenges affecting citizens.

According to the supporters, such areas of cooperation included primary healthcare, basic education and other essential public services which directly affect communities.

They also expressed support for the administration of Governor Uba Sani, citing interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure, rural development and other sectors.

The group particularly commended the proposed upgrade and conversion of the Sir Patrick Yakowa General Hospital, Kafanchan, to a Federal Medical Centre.

It said the proposed conversion would provide an opportunity to expand access to specialised medical services for residents of Kafanchan, Jema’a, Southern Kaduna and neighbouring communities.

“We acknowledge and appreciate the proposed upgrade and conversion of Sir Patrick Yakowa General Hospital, Kafanchan, to a Federal Medical Centre, an important intervention expected to improve access to specialised healthcare for our people,” the statement said.

The supporters also highlighted the appointment of indigenes of the area into various public offices, describing the appointments as part of efforts that had increased the participation of people from the area in government.

They further cited the provision of learning materials to schools and the refurbishment of primary healthcare centres as other interventions they said had benefited communities.

According to the group, the initiatives had strengthened the people’s sense of belonging and contributed to development in the area.

The APC supporters, however, said their mobilisation for the 2027 elections would be conducted peacefully and within the law.

They rejected violence, hate speech, misinformation, intimidation and other forms of divisive politics, while calling on APC members to put aside personal differences and work together for the success of the party.

The group said its focus would be on mobilising voters and communicating the policies and programmes of the party rather than engaging in activities capable of creating tension before, during or after the elections.

“Our strength lies in our unity, our confidence lies in purposeful leadership, and our responsibility is to the people. We therefore stand united for progress and committed to APC victory, in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and all APC candidates,” the statement added.

The declaration comes as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum, with parties and political groups beginning to organise supporters and strengthen their structures across different parts of the country.

The Southern Kaduna APC supporters said they would continue to mobilise in support of the party while promoting peaceful participation and issue-based engagement throughout the electoral process.
