A 200-level university student was detained for trying to import tramadol into Dubai while it was hidden in incense goods.

A 30-year-old woman named Mercy Nyong has been detained by agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for attempting to export tramadol to Dubai.

Attempting to export 300 grams of tramadol 225 mg hidden in incense products bound for Dubai, UAE, according to a statement made on Sunday by the agency’s spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, the suspect who is a 200-level Mass Communication student at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), was detained on Wednesday, October 12, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, in Ikeja, Lagos.
