Igbalaye Ayodele, a member of the Ogun House of Assembly who represents Abeokuta South Constituency II, has stated that he will fund more than 100 kids from his district to attend a university in the Republic of Benin on scholarships.
Ayodele said that his attempts to further encourage education among the state’s young included providing scholarships for his constituents to attend ESTG University in the Republic of Benin.
The recipients of the scholarship were chosen after clearing the most recent Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, according to a statement released on Tuesday by the lawmaker’s media adviser, Adeyemi Obadimu.
The congressman stated that his vision and mission are to promote community harmony and raise educational standards through supporting academic excellence.
“A quality education is the best gift that can be given to our children, as we all know,” he continued. Education is a key factor in driving development and one of the most effective tools for promoting gender equality, peace, and stability as well as eliminating poverty.
“As you may remember, the scholarship program began with 50 students six years ago and this year expanded to 100 students by choosing the recipients from all the public secondary schools in Abeokuta South.
